A Little History
Our Pastor, David Butcher, began his walk with Christ when he accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1970. A year later, in 1971, he met and married Rosalee Woodyard, adding a daughter, Catherine, to their family in August of 1972. They attended the Jesus Church of Pulaski for 10 years before becoming pastor in 1984. The name was then changed to
Our Pastor, David Butcher, began his walk with Christ when he accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1970. A year later, in 1971, he met and married Rosalee Woodyard, adding a daughter, Catherine, to their family in August of 1972. They attended the Jesus Church of Pulaski for 10 years before becoming pastor in 1984. The name was then changed to Robison Tract Holiness Church and he pastored there faithfully for 10 more years. In 1994 we moved to our current location on Little Creek and the name was permanently changed to The Church of the Living God where he has continued to minister to the community for over 29 years. There have been quite a few changes over the years, but our commitment to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ remains steadfast and we hope you’ll join us someday.
