Our Statement Of Faith

Isaiah 61

1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Our Statement Of Faith

Bible

We believe the Old and New Testament is God’s Holy Word. It is divinely inspired and without error. Its  message is relevant for the church today. The Bible is our sole and final authority for faith and practice. (I Thess. 2:13)

Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. But the fall of man in the Garden of Eden caused us to inherit a sinful nature. We also believe every person should be treated with dignity and respect and we should show them Christian love. (Romans 5:12)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Savior of the world. He is God in the flesh, born of a virgin by way of the Holy Spirit, and lived a perfect, sinless life. We believe He is the ultimate sacrifice for our sins and that this was complete with His crucifixion and physical resurrection on the third day. We believe he walked the Earth for 40 days before ascension into Heaven to prepare a place for us to be with Him and that He is coming back for the true believers.  (John 3:16; 14:1-7)

Holy Ghost

We believe that the Holy Ghost is the Comforter Jesus promised before he ascended into Heaven. It is the Spirit of God that is physically on Earth that was no longer separated from man. He dwells in the heart of all believers. We believe that the signs and gifts of the Holy Ghost, such as speaking in tongues, are attainable today and are available to all who seek them. It is still common practice in our church and we seek it in every service. (John 14:16-18)

Salvation
We believe that there is only one way to true salvation and that is the remittance of your sins and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is a gift from God by grace and is freely given to anyone who asks. We believe that Jesus died for every single person and His sacrifice makes this possible. (Romans 10:9-10)

Baptism
We believe in adult water baptism as an outward expression of the inner sanctification. (Luke 3:16)

Church

We feel that we are called to gather together one into another and worship Jesus with fellow Christians. We feel that it is necessary to strengthen your faith and is important for encountering the Spirit of God.  (Hebrews 10:23-25)

Our Worship

Our Worship

If you have never had the opportunity to be in a Spirit-filled service before, you will discover that Biblical expressions of worship are still practiced today.  Join in with us as we praise God together in spirit and in truth.

We pray together aloud because in the Bible we read, "They lifted up their voice to God with one accord" (Acts 4:24).

We lift our hands in praise because in the Bible we read, "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord" (Psalm 134:2).

We sing with all our hearts because in the Bible we read, "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise"  (Psalm 98:4).

We play musical instruments because in the Bible we read, "And all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments" (2 Samuel 6:5).

We clap and shout unto God because in the Bible we read, "O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph" (Psalm 47:1).

We dance before the LORD because in the Bible we read, "Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs" (Psalm 150:4).

We testify publicly because in the Bible we read, "I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee" (Psalm 22:22).

We anoint with oil for divine healing because in the Bible we read, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:14).

We allow the operation of the spiritual gifts because in the Bible we read, "When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation" (1 Corinthians 14:26).
